Track-A-Cell Privacy Policy

Last updated:

Welcome to Track-A-Cell (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how we collect, use, disclose and safeguard personal data via our website, mobile app and related services (the “Service”).

1. Information we collect

We may collect and process the following categories of information:

1.1 Personal Data You Provide

This includes information you enter directly into the Service, such as:

  • Your name, email address, and phone number.
  • Account login credentials.
  • Billing and payment information for paid subscriptions.
  • Support requests, feedback and other communications.

1.2 Device and Usage Information

We automatically collect:

  • Device identifiers (IMEI where permitted, OS, browser type, IP address).
  • Log data, crash reports and analytics usage.
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 4).

1.3 Third-Party Phone Numbers (Tracking Target)

Track-A-Cell allows users to submit a third-party mobile phone number (“target number”) for the purpose of location tracking.

When you enter and submit a target number in the Service you represent and warrant that you have the full legal right and explicit permission of the phone owner or user to:

  • Collect their location information; and
  • Send an automated SMS containing a tracking link or verification code to that device.

We do not permit or support covert, unauthorised or non-consensual tracking. Attempting to track a mobile phone without permission violates our Terms of Service and may violate local laws. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts involved in unauthorised tracking.

1.4 Location Data

If the device belonging to the target number accepts the tracking request and grants permission, the Service may collect:

  • Real-time device location
  • Historical location logs
  • Movement or route information

The tracked device user may revoke location permissions at any time.

2. How we use your information

We use the information collected for the following purposes:

  • Providing and maintaining the Service, including device-location features.
  • Sending automated consent SMS messages to the target number.
  • Displaying location data to the requesting user only after consent is granted.
  • Authentication, fraud prevention and service security.
  • Customer support, account communications and subscription management.
  • Service optimisation, analytics, and troubleshooting.

We do not sell personal data or third-party phone numbers to external marketers.

3. Disclosure of information

We may disclose personal and location data only in the following cases:

  • Service Providers: secure hosting, messaging/SMS gateways, payment processors and analytics vendors working on our behalf.
  • Legal Compliance: if required by law, regulation or law enforcement.
  • Business Transfers: in mergers or acquisitions (with notice to users).
  • With Consent: additional sharing only when authorised by the data subject.

4. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to support authentication, analytics and feature delivery. You may control cookies via browser settings; disabling them may affect functionality.

5. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

  • Access, correct or delete your personal data
  • Withdraw consent
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Request data portability

Contact details are provided in Section 10 to exercise these rights. We may require identity verification.

6. Data retention

We retain personal and location data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service or comply with legal obligations. When no longer required, data is securely deleted or anonymised.

7. Security

We use reasonable and industry-standard measures to protect data, including encryption, secure storage and restricted access. No system is fully secure and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

8. International data transfers

Our infrastructure may involve processing in countries outside your jurisdiction. Where necessary, we apply appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Children’s privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 18 (or other local age limit). If we learn we collected data from a child without lawful consent, we will delete it promptly.

10. Updates to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on our website with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
